General Conference Information

The KSTA annual conference will be held at the Knicely Conference Center at 2355 Nashville Rd. Bowling Green, KY 42101 November 8-9, 2024. The conference will offer more than 40 sessions, 24+ exhibitors, door prizes, and an evening awards reception for conference attendees at the National Corvette Museum.  Join us in Bowling Green, KY.

KSTA is the largest science education organization for P-20 educators in Kentucky and is the perfect opportunity for professional networking. Featured session and breakout session opportunities with Patrick Brown, PhD,  author of NSTAPress series Instructional Sequence Matters that is centered around effective instructional sequences, sensemaking in science, and the Explore-Before-Explain approach. 


Evening Social Keynote Speaker

Kimball Green, a Virginia Tech graduate with a bachelor's and master's in Mechanical Engineering, is the Maintenance and Engineering Manager at General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant, home of the Chevrolet Corvette. Passionate about STEM education, Kimball mentors students, advocates for STEM careers, and has co-founded a Lego Robotics team, making a lasting impact on the Bowling Green community.

Current Members: you will be directed to log into your profile to register.

Non-Members: $200

Non-Members: you can attend the conference for $200, or join KSTA with a 1-year membership for $25 and attend the conference at the early bird member rate!

Students: $75 full conference
$45 Fri. only / $30 Sat. only

Pre-service undergraduate/MAT teaching students

What to Expect

  • Concurrent sessions for all grade levels as well as an exhibit hall with educational services and resources. 
  • Special Guests including authors and science experts.

Attendees will receive PD credit for participation. Please check with your administration to ensure they will allow this conference as hours toward your PD requirements.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and refund requests must be received in writing by October 27, 2024. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after this date regardless of registration date or for no-shows. Refunds will be issued within 45 days after the conference, and a $15 processing fee will be deducted. Substitutions in writing from the same district/school/organization will be accepted without penalty through November 2, 2024. Send requests to kstadirector@gmail.com.
