The Kentucky Junior Academy of Science 2016

Calling Middle & High School scientists! The Kentucky Junior Academy of Science  2016 meeting will be Saturday April 16, at Kentucky State University in Frankfort.

Registration for the Kentucky Junior Academy of Science is only $5, and is open to any middle or high school student in Kentucky regardless of their participation or performance in a science fair. We invite students who are interested in STEM fields to gain the experience of presenting their project as a 10-minute scientific talk with slides. Tips and guidelines are available at:

Winners in the high school level categories will receive KAS support to participate in the American Junior Academy of Science meeting in Boston in February 2016.

Registration deadline will be March 18. Students will be required to provide a 250 word abstract, a ten-page research paper, and a signed waiver when they register online.

Students or teachers new to the Junior Academy who would like additional assistance in preparing  a scientific-style talk are invited to get in touch with us at . We will try to match you up with a mentor scientist in your area to coach you through the process.
