Project WILD & Growing Up WILD Workshop

The Project WILD session will run from 8:00a.m.-noon and Growing UP WILD will run from 1p.m.-5p.m.  Dress for the weather.

Cost: $30 for both sessions, $20.00 for one session. Lunch is on your own.

Participants: Teachers; parents who home school; scouting, youth, and other group leaders and informal educators

Limit: 30 per session

Registration Deadline:  March 5, 2010. Pre-registration is required.

Become certified for using the highly acclaimed Project WILD and Growing Up WILD curriculum, a KERA-compatible, interdisciplinary sets of hands-on activities emphasizing wildlife and the environment.  Participants receive the Project WILD K – 12 and the Growing Up WILD Curriculum & Activity Guide at the end of the workshop and only after completing the workshop. Please expect to reschedule if you cannot stay for the entire workshop.
The Salato Wildlife Education Center is located on the grounds of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Headquarters.  From I-64 at Frankfort, take exit 53B to US 127 north and travel 1.5 miles to US 60.  Turn left and drive 1.7 miles west on US 60 to the entrance of KDFWR on the right.  Turn right into the complex and proceed ahead about 0.5 miles to the Education Center on the left.  Please drive carefully.
