Engineering Scholarships from KY Transportation Cabinet

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awards 10-20 new scholarships each year to civil engineering students attending the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville or Western Kentucky University. Students may also attend pre-engineering courses offered at Kentucky State University or through the Kentucky Community and Technical College system.
The Transportation Cabinet has awarded nearly 1,700 scholarships since the program began in 1948, amounting to more than $12 million of financial aid to aspiring engineers.  The cabinet has 80 scholarship openings each year, which are filled with returning and new students.  The scholarship’s total value is around $50,000 for four years of study.  Students are offered full-time employment upon graduation.

The deadline to submit applications is March 1.  The application and more information is available at www.transportation.ky.gov/scholarship <http://www.transportation.ky.gov/scholarship> . Incoming college freshmen will need a copy of their high school transcripts and ACT scores.  All applications and supporting documentation should be mailed to:
